the Next Level in Career Readiness Preparation

KeyTrain recently
introduced a new breed of career readiness course that includes the
entire KeyTrain curriculum, soft skills, financial literacy, career
exploration, interviewing, resume writing, interest surveys, job
searches, automated course calendars, materials for instructor-led
options, and tracking for all data within a single system!

KeyTrain to
Launch
New Website

KeyTrain will launch a new
website at www.keytrain.com in mid
July, 2009. The new site will feature an entirely
new look and is designed to streamline usage by allowing KeyTrain users
to enter the KeyTrain Users Zone in order to run KeyTrain,
Run Career Ready 101, get technical support, or find out about new
products. The new Solutions Zone is designed to help
answer questions about KeyTrain, how it is being used in various
organizations and sectors across the country, and to provide information
about all other products by KeyTrain. The new site's Results
Zone will provide case studies, showing the results KeyTrain
users are experiencing.

National WorkKeys Conference Featured Successes,
Challenges, and New Approaches
The 12th Annual
WorkKeys® National Conference was held in San Antonio on May 12-15,
2009. Despite travel cutbacks that have hit all sectors of the economy,
more than 500 people gathered for this important event to share best
practices and to discuss solutions for the skills gap and workforce
development challenges we face as a nation. Engaging sessions shared
excellent results that numerous KeyTrain® clients are having across the
country.

Oklahoma
Jumps Starts its Summer Youth Programs with Career Ready 101
When the stimulus funding was announced earlier
this year, it was clear that Summer Youth programs were a key priority.
The Employment and Training Administration’s guidance letter was clear in stating that the funding should
be spent wisely – in ways that would truly help our youth; and quickly –
most of the summer youth funding should be spent by the end of summer
2009. Assembling a great summer program in this timeframe presented
quite a challenge, given that the funds really were not available until
June. The State of Oklahoma chose to make use of KeyTrain’s turnkey
program, Career Ready 101, to tackle the training piece of their summer
programs in one fell swoop.
